Pay for retired state judges

How the state pays and caps salaries

Beginning July 1, 2025, the law authorizes payments for these FY2025-26 and FY2026-27 salary appropriations. The Director of Administrative Services must draw warrants, and the State Treasurer must pay them. Programs in this act cannot use their funds to pay workers’ compensation premium assessments. The law defines what counts toward the salary limit and caps salary spending, with small increases allowed for certified prior‑year encumbrances.
