The law repeals Nebraska’s grain inspection statute. Farmers and grain handlers have fewer state inspection rules and costs. It also ends the Nebraska Origin and Premium Quality Grain Cash Fund, removing the fund’s legal basis and any duties set in law. Buyers and consumers lose a state inspection protection and any fund-backed supports.
The law repeals Nebraska’s honey labeling statute. Honey producers, packers, and retailers have fewer state labeling requirements. Shoppers may see less information that state law used to require on labels.
