Broader consumer protection rules for Nebraskans

The law expands what counts as a deceptive trade practice in Nebraska. Businesses cannot make false or misleading claims about what is in a product or how it works. Each individually packaged product that breaks this rule counts as a separate violation. It bans making or sharing sexual images when the person is under 18, is a trafficking victim, or did not consent. This ban does not apply to telecommunications or broadband internet access services. The law also bans right-to-list home sale agreements.
