Procurement rules narrowed for some state entities

The law changes who counts as a state agency under Nebraska’s State Procurement Act. The University of Nebraska and the Nebraska state colleges are not covered. For buying services, the Nebraska Investment Council, the courts, the Legislature, and any officer or agency created by the Nebraska Constitution are also not covered. The law takes effect immediately and applies to actions on or after July 19, 2024.
