New fees for sheriff tax collections

The law updates charges when a sheriff collects delinquent taxes by distress warrant. You pay a $20 fee for each warrant issued. Mileage is charged at the sheriff mileage rate for each mile actually traveled, per warrant. You owe mileage even if no sale happens. If money is collected by distress and sale, you also pay a commission: 10 cents per dollar on the first $500, and 8 cents per dollar above $500. The old $1 levy fee is removed. All fees, mileage, and commissions are added to your tax bill and collected with the tax.
