Beginning July 1, 2026, New Hampshire raises its yearly research tax credit pool from $7 million to $10 million. The maximum credit per business doubles from $50,000 to $100,000. Each year's credit is the smallest of three amounts: 10% of qualified manufacturing research and development expenses above the base amount, the business's proportional share of the statewide pool, or $100,000. Each credit must offset tax liability within the next five tax years.
