Qualified dental hygienists can give local anesthesia
In New Hampshire, licensed dental hygienists can give local anesthesia. They must first be qualified by the state board after training and passing a board-approved exam. The law takes effect 60 days after the act’s passage. This expands access to dental care and lets trained hygienists do more at work.
