Homestead food makers can use commercial gear

The law defines a homestead food operation as a person who makes only non-hazardous homestead foods in the home kitchen of their primary New Hampshire residence. These home producers can use commercial kitchen equipment if it can be washed and rinsed in the processing area. Commercial kitchen equipment means heavy-duty tools and appliances used in professional kitchens. The change takes effect 60 days after the act’s passage.
