Educator ethics clarify duty to parents

The law updates the Educator Code of Ethics and Code of Conduct. It says the phrase “responsibility to students and parents” uses the definition in RSA 193:1, III. Teachers and other school staff must follow that duty to both students and parents. Officials interpret and enforce the ethics rules using that definition. The change takes effect 60 days after passage. It does not change pay, benefits, or taxes.
