New Hampshire renters can refuse e-pay
Beginning January 1, 2026, landlords in New Hampshire cannot require you to pay by electronic funds transfer for any amount due under a residential lease, renewal, or extension. This includes automatic or recurring electronic payments. The rule applies to tenants and people applying to rent. You can choose a non-electronic way to pay.
