Market-rate renewals for state agency leases
New Hampshire requires fair market rent when a state agency renews a lease for land, a building, or space. A landlord and the state can agree to a lower rate. This rule does not apply if the lease was awarded through a competitive bidding process. It applies to renewals only, not first-time leases. The law takes effect 60 days after passage.
