Dedicated fund for nongame wildlife
Beginning 60 days after passage, the law creates a separate, nonlapsing Nongame Species Account in the Fish and Game Fund. The state treasurer holds and invests the money, and all interest stays in the account. The account can receive federal funds, state appropriations, and donations. Fish and Game uses the money to develop and run a comprehensive nongame species management program.
