Simpler permits for solar projects
The law limits DES rules for solar arrays to match other development. A terrain‑alteration permit is required only if earthmoving is over 100,000 sq ft or timber harvesting is over 100,000 sq ft. For ground‑mounted arrays, panels count as pervious and the finished land counts as meadow. Any DES rules that conflict with this are void on the law’s effective date. The act takes effect upon passage.
