Tax Department reports now due in January

The law takes effect when it is passed and approved. Starting now, each January of odd-numbered years, the Nevada Department of Taxation must give the Nevada Tax Commission, at a Commission meeting, its proposed budget for the next two fiscal years and any bills it plans to seek. This replaces the old June, even-year timing, so the Commission reviews items for the Legislature’s next regular session. It does not change tax rates, credits, or who owes tax.
