Send state garnishment papers to Human Resources

When the State of Nevada is named as garnishee, plaintiffs and process servers must serve the writ on the Division of Human Resource Management in the Department of Administration. Do not serve the State Controller. This applies when the State is the defendant’s employer or holds the defendant’s money or property. The law takes effect upon passage and approval.
