UNLV law school funding for free legal help

Beginning July 1, 2025, Nevada provides $500,000 in 2025–2026 and $500,000 in 2026–2027 to UNLV’s William S. Boyd School of Law. The money supports free (pro bono) legal help, hands-on legal training, and student success. The funds can be used in either of the two fiscal years.

Deadlines to use UNLV law funds

The university and any group that gets this money cannot commit leftover funds after June 30, 2027. They cannot spend leftover funds after September 17, 2027. Any remaining money must be returned to the State General Fund by September 17, 2027.
