Clean energy fund gets $500,000

The state gives $500,000 to the Nevada Clean Energy Fund. The Fund uses the money to secure and run grants for qualified clean energy projects. It can pay for gap funding, technical help to state and local agencies, and Fund staff and administration. The law takes effect upon passage and approval.

Deadlines and audits for fund spending

When the Fund accepts the money, it must send an interim report to the Interim Finance Committee by December 18, 2026, showing spending through December 1, 2026. It must send a final report by September 17, 2027, showing spending through June 30, 2027. If asked, the Fund must give records to the Legislative Auditor for an audit. The Fund and any group it gives money to cannot commit funds after June 30, 2027, or spend any after September 17, 2027. Any money left must return to the State General Fund by September 17, 2027.
