More school support for Nevada students

The state gives $1 million to Communities In Schools of Nevada to support students in public schools. Services include help with schoolwork, basic needs, physical and mental health, and social and life skills. The law takes effect upon passage and approval. Students in Nevada public schools may receive these services at their school. The group must file an interim spending report by December 18, 2026 (covering through December 1, 2026) and a final report by September 17, 2027 (covering through June 30, 2027). Any money left cannot be committed after June 30, 2027, cannot be spent after September 17, 2027, and must return to the State General Fund by September 17, 2027.
