New leadership rules for Sunset Subcommittee

The Chair of the Legislative Commission now appoints the Chair and Vice Chair of the Sunset Subcommittee. The Chair must be from one house and the Vice Chair from the other. Each serves a two-year term starting July 1 of odd-numbered years. Any vacancy is filled the same way for the rest of the term.

Subcommittee review of license rules repealed

The law repeals NRS 232B.237. The Sunset Subcommittee no longer reviews licensing boards and other bodies for rules that limit applicants with criminal histories. The duties in that section end.
