Extra time to spend state office funds

The law extends the deadlines for 2023 funds to the Governor’s Office of Finance for office leases, furniture, and training. Money cannot be committed after June 30, 2027. It cannot be spent after September 17, 2027. Any remaining balance must return to the State General Fund on or before September 17, 2027. These rules apply to the Office of Finance and any entity that got transfers or grants from these funds. The act takes effect upon passage and approval and does not add new money.
