Transportation help for charter school families

Beginning July 1, 2025, the state provides $17 million to the State Public Charter School Authority for charter school student transportation. The money can be awarded as grants to charter schools to help pay for busing or other student transport. The Authority and schools cannot commit funds after June 30, 2027. Any unspent money cannot be used after September 17, 2027 and must be returned to the State General Fund by that date.
