One-time upgrades at two state prisons

Beginning July 1, 2025, one-time funding upgrades two state prisons. NNCC gets $49,900 to replace gym flooring and $278,386 for utility vehicles and warehouse gear. SDCC gets $78,411 for deferred maintenance, $19,275 for office furniture and visiting chairs, and $120,434 for warehouse, maintenance, and security gear. Unspent money cannot be committed after June 30, 2027, cannot be spent after September 17, 2027, and must be returned by September 17, 2027.

Two-year equipment funds for state prisons

Beginning July 1, 2025, Nevada funds equipment at two state prisons. Northern Nevada Correctional Center gets $36,982 in Fiscal Year 2025-26 and $34,980 in 2026-27 to replace security and safety gear. It also gets $108,047 in 2025-26 and $4,512 in 2026-27 for kitchen, maintenance, and building equipment. Southern Desert Correctional Center gets $236,583 in 2025-26 and $14,230 in 2026-27 for utility vehicles, handheld metal detectors, and small tools. Unspent money cannot be committed after June 30 each year, cannot be spent after September 18, 2026 or September 17, 2027, and must be returned by those dates.
