Funding for park repairs and ranger gear

Beginning July 1, 2025, the state funds park repairs and gear. It provides $2.5 million in FY 2025–26 and $2.5 million in FY 2026–27 for improvements and deferred maintenance. It also provides $113,586 (FY 2025–26) and $122,560 (FY 2026–27) to replace computers, IT gear, and radios, plus $517,965 (FY 2025–26) and $31,987 (FY 2026–27) to equip new rangers. Funds must be committed by June 30 of each fiscal year. FY 2025–26 money cannot be spent after September 18, 2026, and FY 2026–27 money cannot be spent after September 17, 2027; any unspent amounts revert to the General Fund by those dates.

Replace state park vehicles and equipment

Beginning July 1, 2025, the state funds vehicle and equipment replacement in state parks. It provides $5.55 million to replace vehicles and $1.37 million for utility vehicles, excavators, and tractors. It also provides $91,229 for mowers and small gear and $24,780 for diagnostic automotive tools. These funds must not be committed after June 30, 2027. They cannot be spent after September 17, 2027, and any unspent amounts revert to the General Fund by that date.
