Two-year funding for tax system upgrade

Beginning July 1, 2025, the state funds the Department of Taxation’s Unified Tax System. It provides $12,457,960 for FY 2025–2026 and $15,281,906 for FY 2026–2027. The Department is also authorized to spend up to $5,000,000 from non‑General Fund and non‑Highway Fund sources during these two years. Money can be moved between the two fiscal years if the Governor recommends it and the Interim Finance Committee approves. Any uncommitted funds after June 30, 2027, and any unspent money after September 17, 2027, must revert to the State General Fund by September 17, 2027.
