Nevada upgrades business licensing system

Beginning July 1, 2025, the state provides $8,983,876 (about $9.0 million) from the General Fund to the Nevada Secretary of State. The money pays for modernizing the state business licensing system, including contract staff. It supports upgrades to the system that businesses use to get and renew licenses. The funds cannot be committed after June 30, 2027. The funds cannot be spent after September 17, 2027, and any money left must return to the State General Fund by September 17, 2027.
