Funding for election tech and outreach

Beginning July 1, 2025, Nevada funds key election needs. The law provides $460,423 to replace computers and other IT. It provides $1,462,864 for voter education, outreach, ballot translation, interpretive services, and travel. It also provides $26,000 for voter identity checks under the HAVA account. The Secretary of State must use each amount only for these listed purposes. Voters gain better information, translations, and updated systems.

Deadlines to use election funds

The Secretary of State and any grantees must stop committing these funds after June 30, 2027. They must stop spending any of it after September 17, 2027. Any money left must return to the State General Fund by September 17, 2027.
