Nevada cloud seeding funding with deadlines

Beginning July 1, 2025, the state provides $600,000 in FY 2025-2026 and $600,000 in FY 2026-2027 to the Desert Research Institute to run the Nevada State Cloud Seeding Program. The money must support this program only. DRI must send spending reports to the Interim Finance Committee by September 1, 2026 and September 1, 2027, covering costs through June 30 of each year. DRI cannot commit unspent money after June 30 of each fiscal year. Any funds left from FY 2025-2026 cannot be spent after September 18, 2026 and must be returned by that date. Any funds left from FY 2026-2027 cannot be spent after September 17, 2027 and must be returned by that date.
