State certifies domestic violence treatment programs

The Division of Public and Behavioral Health must start writing the rules now to prepare. Beginning Oct 1, 2025, it evaluates, certifies, and monitors programs that treat people who commit domestic violence. Programs must include a victim safety module. A supervisor or treatment provider must assess each participant. Curricula and materials must use evidence-based practices. Out-of-state programs can get Nevada certification to serve Nevada residents who are ordered by a Nevada court.
