Oklahoma makes federal education guidance available online

Beginning November 1, 2025, Oklahoma’s State Department of Education must establish a public website within 90 days. The State Superintendent chooses the website, which must have easy-to-find links to federal education guidance. The department must post guidance within five days after receiving it from the U.S. Department of Education. Documents containing sensitive or confidential information that privacy laws bar from disclosure are exempt. Guidance broadly includes policy or interpretation statements, such as memos and letters, that are not legally binding rules. When federal officials withdraw guidance, Oklahoma must keep it online. Within 15 days after withdrawal, the department must mark it as withdrawn and show the withdrawal date.
