Oklahoma's qualified residential treatment programs can ask courts for protective orders on behalf of children in their care. Requests must target a third party who threatens the child's physical or emotional well-being. Programs must show evidence of harassment, abuse, neglect, exploitation, or other behavior that endangers the child. Filing does not guarantee an order. The act lists July 1, 2025, as its effective date, but also declares immediate effect upon passage and approval.
