Trauma training partnerships and Medicaid payment checks

Beginning September 1, 2025, the Oklahoma State University Medical Trust can form partnerships to train students. Training can occur at American College of Surgeons Level I trauma centers, Trust-operated centers, or centers run by Trust-approved affiliates. The Oklahoma State University Medical Authority must certify the Level I trauma center's compliance each year to the Oklahoma Health Care Authority. This check covers standards and requirements tied to extra Medicaid payments to the center. These rules set no payment amount and do not directly change household Medicaid eligibility or benefits.
