Donate part of your Oklahoma refund to veterans

Beginning November 1, 2026, your Oklahoma individual income tax return includes an option to donate part of your state refund to the Oklahoma Department of Veterans Affairs Equipment and Capital Improvement Program. Donations go into a dedicated revolving fund for equipment and building projects. The Department can invest the fund, and earnings stay in the program. This is voluntary and only applies if you get a refund. If you donate by mistake, you can ask for your money back within three years of the return’s due date.
