State sends $500,000 for census work

The law gives the Oklahoma Department of Commerce $500,000 for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2027. The money comes from the State General Revenue Fund and is not taken from money already set aside. The department must transfer the full $500,000 to the U.S. Decennial Census Revolving Fund created by House Bill 3622.

Emergency clause and start date set

The law declares an emergency, so it is in full force from and after its passage and approval. It also states the act becomes effective July 1, 2026. This timing lets the state act right away while also naming a future start date.
