Beginning November 1, 2025, Oklahoma cities, counties, and the state can include land-approval conditions in certain real estate contracts. This covers property sales, transfers, exchanges, purchase options, and leases with a purchase option. The conditions can allow up to 180 days to secure required permits, lot changes, zoning changes, or other land-use approvals. Those approvals must be needed to use and operate the property. The law does not directly create household benefits or duties.
