Sheriff auctions gain online bidding and notices
Oklahoma sheriffs may choose online auctions to sell goods, land, or buildings to collect court judgments. Online auctions are optional and must follow the law’s requirements. Online sale notices must give the bidding website, sale date, and scheduled time bidding opens. Notices must be mailed at least 10 days before the sale to required recipients with known names and addresses. These include the person owing the judgment and people whose recorded property interests the sale will end.
