Beginning November 1, 2025, Oklahoma changes how medical marijuana patient licenses are checked. New or replacement licenses issued after that date have a 12-character identification number and a PDF417 barcode. These replace the old 24-character number. Oklahoma’s medical marijuana authority and licensed dispensaries use these features to check that licenses are genuine. This change does not alter eligibility or provide a stated financial benefit.
