License fees for work on shore structures
Pennsylvania's environmental department can charge a license fee of up to $250 for groin structures on state-owned submerged lands. The fee covers construction, repair, replacement, operation, maintenance, or removal at licensed premises. The law defines groin structures as shore structures that may affect shore erosion, wave action, or flooding. The department can charge less than $250. The law takes effect 60 days after enactment.
