Rhode Island removes conflicting science council law

Effective upon passage, the law repeals one of two conflicting laws establishing Rhode Island’s Science and Technology Advisory Council. The removed version required 13 unpaid members, governor appointments, and duties supporting research, entrepreneurship, and innovation. The act adds no replacement rules. Its stated purpose is to resolve conflicting council rules, not necessarily end the council itself.
