Little Compton gets higher property tax cap

For fiscal year 2026 only, Little Compton can raise its total property tax levy by up to 12%. This replaces the usual 4% growth cap for that year. The higher levy requires approval by the Little Compton Financial Town Meeting. The law allows, but does not require, higher taxes; individual property tax bills do not necessarily rise by 12%.
