2 provisions identified: 1 benefits, 1 costs, 0 mixed.

Childcare and rides for cash assistance work

If you get TANF and take part in required work or training, the department provides childcare. You do not get this childcare if you are exempt from work rules. Your plan can also give transportation help when needed. The department uses community transit first before spending its own funds.

Stricter rules for cash assistance families

Parents and caretakers getting cash assistance (TANF) must follow a personal responsibility plan. You must cooperate with child support and name the father, unless the department finds good cause. This applies regardless of your age or disability. Unless you are exempt or have good cause, refusing required work or training, or not cooperating on child support, ends TANF for your whole family.
