Tennessee state employees now have a pay period at least twice per month. The Commissioner of Finance and Administration sets the exact schedule. On or about the last day of each pay period, employees are paid for the prior period or any part of it that is owed. The semimonthly requirement is removed. The law takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
