Tennessee housing agency gets higher borrowing limit
The law raises the Tennessee Housing Development Agency’s limit on outstanding bonds and notes from $4 billion to $5 billion. The agency gets more room to borrow, but its total outstanding debt remains capped at $5 billion. This supports its ability to offer below-market-rate loans to low- and moderate-income Tennesseans. The law does not provide new funding, require more borrowing, or guarantee household benefits. The change took effect when the act became law.
