TennCare covers Kleefstra syndrome care

Beginning July 1, 2025, TennCare covers diagnosis and treatment for Kleefstra syndrome when medically necessary under § 71-5-144. If you are enrolled in TennCare and have this condition, coverage includes genetic testing and treatment. Covered help can include therapies, medicines, devices, equipment, clothing, and related programs. Help can start early and continue across your life. Coverage is in line with how TennCare covers autism and Down syndrome, and TennCare may seek federal waivers to carry this out.
