Private retirement info for public workers

Employers in the Tennessee state retirement system must allow private firms to share information on their retirement plans and life contracts at the workplace. This can happen only outside an employee’s official duty hours and through direct contact with the firm’s representatives. Any plan discussed must be the functional equivalent of a qualified plan, like IRC 401(a), 401(k), 403(a), 403(b), 408(k), 408(p), or 457(b). This is now in effect.
