Mothers get information on post-birth warning signs
Beginning July 1, 2025, Tennessee hospitals and birthing centers with labor and delivery services must give mothers post-birth health information. Before discharge after a birth, mothers must receive information about warning signs, symptoms, and available resources. When possible, facilities must also give this information to the mother's caregiver or at least one family member. The Tennessee Department of Health must supply the information to these facilities and post it on its website.
