Beginning July 1, 2025, Tennessee raises two daily inmate charges. One rate goes from $3 to $6 per day. Another rate goes from $6 to $12 per day. Incarcerated people, or those who pay for them, owe the higher amount for each charged day. Over long stays, the extra $3–$6 per day can add up.
