New filing rules for vehicle warranty companies
Tennessee companies issuing motor vehicle protection product warranties must file registration records each year. They must notify the state in writing within 30 days after information in their original registration changes. At renewal, they do not need to resubmit a warranty already registered for use. Reporting a change does not require a new registration application. The law takes effect July 1, 2025, and applies to renewals and change notices submitted after that date.
