Beginning July 1, 2025, Tennessee-licensed or registered health providers who completed a board-ordered peer assistance or substance use treatment program can petition their licensing board to remove information about the adverse action and the board’s order from the public licensure verification website. Providers must have finished all contract requirements and wait five years from the completion date listed in the order. The board reviews each request and, if approved, removes the online listing. The original board order remains a public record under state law. The Division of Health Related Boards can adopt rules now to run this process.
