Quicker path to funeral director license

Beginning July 1, 2025, an associate degree from a college accredited by the American Board of Funeral Service Education, or a qualifying program of study shown on an official transcript, counts as one year of the required apprenticeship. You must still complete the remaining one year of apprenticeship. This speeds up licensing for funeral director applicants in Tennessee who have those credentials.
