Beginning July 1, 2025, Tennessee’s consumer protection law covers businesses that are organized in Tennessee or regulated under Tennessee law. This now includes companies formed in other states that are still regulated here. State officials can enforce the law against those businesses. Shoppers may have more ways to file complaints or get refunds. This change does not give direct payments; it expands who must follow Tennessee rules.
